The Valley Creek Tract -
Dallas County, Alabama (Sold)

This tract is 520 acres of
rolling pine and hardwood land located in North Dallas County,
Alabama. Valley Creek flows through the property to a 20-acre
pond and then downstream to the Paul Grist State Park.
Actually, from the state park, Valley Creek runs several miles
eventually flowing through the property of Valley Creek Outdoors
(right by our lodge) to Kenan's Mill and then on through Selma to the
Alabama River.
The tract has planted pines of ages ranging
from about 3 to 8 years. The plantations are growing extremely
well. There are also several hardwood areas along Valley Creek
and the other drains across the property.
We have constructed
a new road system and several green fields complete with box stands
and ladder stands.
The tract is about a one and a half hour
drive from Birmingham, Montgomery, or Tuscaloosa.
We are
asking $2,050 per acre for this tract.

tract...

Here are some new roads
lined by vibrant young pines...

A good road system
requires culverts here and there...

A couple of arrowheads
that we came across on the property...

Deer sign leading to
and from one of our food plots...

A new four-wheeler trail
through hardwoods...

One of several green
fields that we added to the property...

We put in a canoe/boat
launch here on the pond...

This photo was taken
in 2005 after the new road system and green fields were constructed
on the tract.

The tract was purchased from the Martin family and was referred to on
this map as the "Martin Tract."
